A huge step was taken in the Summer of 2003 when the City of Bennettsville announced the opening of the it's Chamber of Commerce.

This is the first time in South Carolina history that a Chamber of Commerce has been operated by a government office.

City officials saw a need to find a medium whereby the local officials, business leaders, volunteers and the citizens of Bennettsville could come together and work for the benefit of the community.

The Chamber of Commerce takes pride in promoting economic growth in the Bennettsville area known as South Carolina's First "Great" Town.

Teamwork is what it takes, together, with our local businesses and leaders, we WILL achieve what it takes to help our "Great" city strive and grow!
