The Planning and Zoning Department is responsible for administering the Official Zoning Ordinance of the City, enforcing other codes and ordinances of the City, reviewing all construction plans, and permitting and inspecting all development projects.

The scope of the work includes planning; implementation of the Comprehensive Plan; annexation; code enforcement and grants.
