Facilities Maintenance Worker

The City of Bennettsville has an immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Worker in the Tourism, Parks, and Recreation Department. Applicant will be expected to perform inspections, repair, and maintenance of public indoor and outdoor facilities throughout the city. 

Applicant is recommended to have any combination of education and/or experience that has provided a working knowledge of carpentry, electricity, plumbing, masonry, painting, grounds maintenance, engines, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Example combinations include graduation from high school or equivalent, and at least two years of proficiency in facilities maintenance with experience in methods, materials, and related tools. 

Applicant should have the expertise, skills, and abilities necessary for a satisfactory job performance. 

Applicant must possess or can obtain an appropriate valid driver’s license with a good driving record. 

Applicant must be capable of performing heavy manual work with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. He or she must complete related tasks as required, special projects as assigned, and work a flexible schedule comprising some nights and weekends as needed. 

The salary range for this position is $26,624.00/yr. ($12.80/hr.) - $32,427.20/yr. ($15.59/hr.).
