The City of Bennettsville has an opening in the Fire Department for a Firefighter. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED. Applicant should have knowledge of firefighting techniques and procedures as applied to fire suppression. Applicant will respond to fire and other related emergencies.
Preferred Certifications: NFPA (IFSAC/Pro-Board) Firefighter 2, CPR/First Aid, Emergency Medical Responder, NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800, Emergency Vehicle Driver Training, Pump OPS 1 and 2.
Applicant must have a valid S.C. Drivers License. Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT-Class E) is desired. Applicant shall successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test. Applicant will be required to successfully complete a physical agility and skills test.
The salary range for this position is $29,390.40/yr. - $35,776.00/yr.
